We have a new home!
It's been a moving and exciting experience this week as Dewynters waved goodbye to Leicester Square after 25 years, and said hello to wonderful new offices on The Strand. We've had some amazing and unforgettable times in Leicester Square, but with a fantastic West End location along with lovely views across London and the Thames river, Wellington House already feels like home. So it's business as usual here, but also the beginning of a bright and beautiful new era in Dewynters' history. Click for directions.
The world-famous disco club Studio 48 opened its doors on Friday, for one magical night only. This legendary nightclub and party mecca rolled out the red carpet to invite the lucky VIP members past the doormen, into a glamorous, hidden world of disco lights, dancefloors, roller skates and, er, Twister. With drinks and cocktails served by hunky barman Gary, and a surprise guest appearance from the reclusive Andy Warhol himself (though he did seem a bit quiet), this really was a party that will go down in history. Here's to Studio 125…rumours that Bianca Jagger will ride in on a white horse are as yet unconfirmed.
The Bodyguard has teamed up with their official make-up partner, New CID Cosmetics, to produce a fantastic, limited edition Bodyguard Collection. And with the i-gloss, three shades of i-colour, long-wear eye shadow and award-winning lip gloss you'll look so good that you, too, can look like a star.
There was plenty of funny business and a whole lot of fundraising going on at Dewynters on Red Nose Day 2013. A special, limited edition t-shirt was produced (featuring a photo of everyone in the company wearing a red nose), and an incredible lunch sale not only showcased the very finest of Dewynters' home cooking, but also cleared out the entire West End of crisps. By the end of Friday we'd managed to raise a whopping £431.70 for the fantastic causes supported by Comic Relief…well done everyone!
To celebrate the upcoming stage adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, the iconic children's classic has been given a scrumptious new cover. Designed by Dewynters in collaboration with Puffin Books and Joe Public Marketing, the new "winning chocolate bar"cover gives Roald Dahl's legendary tale a mouthwatering new look that hints at the feast of pleasures inside…proving that sometimes, you really can judge a book by its cover.

Top Hat the Musical tap-danced all over people's computer screens with a fabulous Evening Standard arts page takeover. With several glorious videos filmed on green screen especially for this campaign, the takeover brought a joyous dash of old-fashioned glitz and glamour wonderfully to life. And with a dazzling 30,000 impressions of this beautiful, twirling chorus of white ties and tails, Top Hat really did step out in truly elegant style.
The infamous Cats' eyes, originally hand-painted by Dewynters, were the talk of Edinburgh as they cast a menacing stare across the city on Wednesday 6th February. To mark the return of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical to the road – the Cats tour opened on Saturday 9th February at the Edinburgh Playhouse – the eerie illumination was projected onto one of Edinburgh’s most famous monuments, the Castle Rock, for an exclusive photo call with the Edinburgh Evening News.
Cats is just one of several productions now on the roster of the Dewynters touring department, and publicity doesn't get much more eye-catching!

‘These poster images have come about through a long and fruitful collaboration with Dewynters, one of the most senior theatre marketing companies in the world. Over many years, they have helped shape the Donmar’s personality, employing a strong, clear aesthetic to create an identity for each production as well as a brand logo of great strength and simplicity. Their contribution to my decade at the Donmar has been immeasurable.’
Thank you, Michael, it was a pleasure!
Dewynters led the field in Olympic coverage as we secured a 4-page cover wrap around the outside of Time Out for a week of London 2012. Dewynters 5 – News International 7
Maida Vale, Monday 12th March
Dewynters began their foray into 7-a-side inter-agency football friendly matches with a closely fought defeat to News International last night. The teams met at Maida Vale football pitches to match in a battle of questionable wits and ever decreasing physicality. Dewynters fell behind early doors as the new side grew used to playing together, but quickly reset to begin a fight-back. Mark Scrivener flexed his goalkeeping skills at the back, whilst Ben Hurring fought valiant battles upfront though faring better in defence. Harpal Sambhi proved dangerous on the wings, weaving his way through News International to create 3 of the Dewynters goals, netting one for himself in the process. Lee Cattermole, ever a nuisance in the forward role, worked tirelessly and earned the team a goal with fabulous poaching reminiscent of the great Gary Lineker. Captain Matt Hamm took the ball home after a trio of goals to complete his hat-trick; including capping off a great run from the in-form Harpal Sambhi. New additions to the team, Matt Highfield and Marc Peachey were solid at the back sweeping up play with a metaphorical football broom and settling comfortably into the side. Though the spoils weren’t shared, Dewynters left the pitch with a superb second half performance under their belts. Man of the Match Harpal told press after the game; “I thought we played well, I was really impressed man.”
Man of the Match: Harpal Sambhi
Goals: Matt Hamm 3, Lee Cattermole 1, Harpal Sambhi 1

Dewynters staff and friends pit their general knowledge against each other in our yearly pub quiz at the Slug and Lettuce in the heart of the West End. Master of ceremonies for the night’s proceedings was our one and only Jon Ivay, who certainly knows how to put on a show. The wonderful Jane Cahillane was there yet again, providing us with some pretty tricky questions that caused a few heated debates across the pub as the evening unfolded, but our adjudicators Jackie Eades and Holly Franklin were on hand to keep score and keep the teams in order. Congratulations to the eventual winners of the evening who were “The Winner Takes It Hall” team, consisting of Sarah Hall, Michelle Simpson, Michael Diamandi, Emily Naughton and the supposed brains behind the team, Sarah Elliott! Second and third place went to “The Ten Dollar Quartet” and “Beauty and the Beasts”. Better luck next time guys!
